While many of us who are so lucky to live on Kefalonia all year round envy those of you in the rest of Europe who might have "White Christmases" we can't feel prouder to enjoy relatively warmer weather here all year round!
However, the weather in Kefalonia varies from that of mainland Greece! For example, there is an obvious difference between the weather in Athens and Kefalonia despite the fact that they share the same geographical latitude!
In Kefalonia, the Summers are cooler and in the Winter the weather is warmer than Athens and mainland Greece of the approximate same geographical latitude!
Despite the above generalization about Kefalonian weather, which makes Kefalonia an ideal place to live all year round, I should note that not all of Kefalonia is the same... For an alternative holiday why don't you come to Kefalonia, in addition to the classical warm months with all the Summer fun, from late Autumn to early Spring when the tallest mountain in Kefalonia and the Ionian Islands, Mount Aenos, is usually snow covered?
Finally, with all the above said how can one not want to live in or visit Kefalonia all year round?
