According to Greece's Alpha TV news bulletin with Maria Nikoltsiou, our Kefalonia is shown in the first pan-Hellenic (Greek) positions of air arrivals this year from January to July with an increase of +12.3%, compared to the record year 2019! As the TV station's journalist Stavros Monemvasiotis also said, the revenues from tourism this year are expected to be a total of 20 billion euros in our country. Just like the record year 2019!
The authoritative Alpha journalist also reported that the increase in air tourist arrivals in Greece is +169.5% compared to 2021 with 16.2 million passengers until July this year!
In order to compare the relatively large increase in tourism in our country, I must mention that earlier today it was announced by Eurostat that while in July this year there was... a decrease in air arrivals in the rest of the European Union compared to the year 2019 by -15% only in Greece was there an increase in the same month by +7%!
