A wonderful initiative that was immediately implemented by the Cultural Association of Poros Kefalonia " The Pronisos" is the pictured watering cans and feeders for the stray cats in our area!
The idea of this remarkable initiative, which proves to everyone that in our days there is still humanity and love for animals, is that of the active President of the Cultural Association of Poros "The Pronisos" Aspasia Seriatou!
As President Aspasia Seriatou told us, in the summer she saw tourists and locals feeding stray cats and thought that when winter comes, many of these small animals will perish without food and water!
Thus, waterers and feeders were placed in two parts of Poros, near the 5x5 soccer field (former tennis club) and near the canyon of Poros, with the prospect of being placed in two more places in the Port and the Lefkes area of Poros!
Many residents of Poros speak in the best words about this animal welfare initiative and take food to our stray cats!
Therefore, we ask the residents and friends of Poros Kefalonia to come to the offices of the Cultural Association in the Poros Community building with their kind offers of dry cat food.
Finally, please do not place cooked food as it can be harmful to animals and canned food because it remains exposed for too long and attracts insects!
